No. Wasn’t getting any in return.

I got into a yelling and swearing contest with one of my neighbors last year. He objected when I was putting cardboard into “his” recycling bin (the city provides the bins and picks them up).

It was weird. I can always talk things out. I have never had bad relations with a neighbor.

A week later we ran into each other in the ally.

“Sorry I was an asshole last week.”

“I was an asshole, too. I apologize. That was wrong.”

“That was f*cking ridiculous! What happened?”

“I don’t know. It’s actually kind of funny looking back at it.”

“It is. Good to see you.”

“Thanks.”

We are normal friendly neighbors now.

I have no memory of having enemies.

Enemy is a strong term. There are people who I dislike. I find compassion works well in thinking about them There but for the grace of God (or whoever) go I.

I have. Toward my ex during our divorce. As a result I got the house, which netted absolutely 0 when I sold it, and I got the shaft.
