Did you notice I made Fluther more secure?

We use https instead of http now, which is better and safer for everyone!
Let me know if you run into any issues, because there were a number of moving parts.

I just tried to go in on my iPhone and got a message that Safari couldn’t load Fluther because there were too many redirects. Causation or merely correlation? Never has happened before.
(And “Hi Ben!”)
Nope, that’s a definite bug… will work on a fix. (Hi!)
Everything is smooth so far on a PC running Windows 7 at work using an IE browser, but I am not sure what iteration.

Found a glitch: I was not able to load Fluther on my Pixel XL phone running Android 7 using a Chrome browser. Like @janbb, it said too many redirects.
Ok, iPhone traffic should work now. :) Let me know if other issues come up.
Thank you! Good to see you again.
Did not notice…would not a have a clue of what to notice either. I could not answer a Q on my Droid…said it could not connect to the server. PM’s were working though. Everything seems fine on the laptop though.
Just curious if you are using Lets Encrypt? I started using it about six months ago and it was a snap to get working. Even with subdomains.
Edit :: Looks like you aren’t.
Cool, Ben. It was seamless. Thanks for the message.
Can’t post anything from my tablet, but everything works fine on my laptop.
You hid it under your bed you cheeky monkey…
Thanks, Ben! One thing I have noticed, however, is that there was a big spike in instances of a longstanding bug. Sometimes when the mods remove a quip, it won’t go away. It registers as moderated, but it displays normally. And since a quip can only be removed once, all future attempts to remove it are blocked. This used to be pretty rare, happening once every few months or so. Since the update, it has happened about a dozen times. Maybe it’s just a coincidence that it’s suddenly happening so much. Either way, though, it would be great to get some kind of fix. I hate leaving that much spam up just because the site thinks it’s already gone!
Thank You, for the behind the scenes efforts!
Love it when The Creators pop in!
I’m unable to answer using mobile version while desktop version works fine. Anyone else facing this issue?
Yes I can’t post on mobile but is ok on desktop version.
I got an email notifying me I had a message, but no highlight for “messages for you” on the website. There was a message.
Ok, the posting on mobile issue should be fixed, along with other mobile issues. Let me know if more stuff pops up.
@johnpowell Nope, we’re now on AWS and they have a simple free SSL thing so I just used that.
Now it’s not working on my laptop but is on my iPhone. I hope I don’t sound complainy.
On a lighter note I guess mods will have to be ready for more spam now as search rankings will be increased due to site being converted to secure one.
i.fluther.com is not working on my iphone. At least not the mobile version.
Odd. I put in i.fluther.com, and it pops over to the regular flutter.com site. It’s like the regular site in tiny print that I have to zoom in. Annoying, so I ended up deleting if off my iPhone. No biggie.
