Just like beef tongue. Simmer in the crock pot for four hours, then slice thin and place on good rye bread with mustard.
Right now it’s on fore after some zippy Wasabi crackers. haha
Probably tastes like your taste buds or whatever you last ate.
Would you like to find out?
Like spit. ;) Sorry I couldn’t come up with a more poetic description, but that’s what it tastes like to me now.
In its normal condition, also testing by bending my tongue so it actually tastes another part of itself (which isn’t that easy), it seems to taste pretty much like the rest of my mouth, sort of fleshy. I wouldn’t say I often taste it at all, since it generally doesn’t come in contact with itself.
Garlic. And I am a natural repellant at the moment.
I guess it’s like a base, or 0 taste.
If I’m lucky. It tastes like @Cruiser ‘s. But I smell it in my beard more than taste it. #Flavor savor….
If I’m unlucky, it tastes like @RedDeerGuy1 ‘s . Because I just ate my own hand…
Following up on what @zenvelo said, if you eat beef tongue, don’t think about it too much. The texture of the meat comes pretty close to the texture of our own tongue.
^ Gag, retch, choke, vomit. lol
@Coloma Don’t knock it if you havem’t tried it! It is delicious!
@zenvelo That’s okay, the psychological block is huge, maybe if I didn’t know what it was, maybe. haha
