In the millitary, is being at ease really much more comfortable than standing at attention?

Yes. Your feet are spread shoulder width so your balance is better. But it’s more about why one is “at ease” or at “attention.” Like why you salute officers and not sergeants. Or like why someone calls “at ease!” when a sergeant enters the area, and “attention!” when it’s an officer.
Yes. At Ease means you can move. Being at Attention or Parade Rest for long periods of time sucks. At Ease or Rest is better.
Well if we’re talking about your dick then yeah, stand at ease or you’re gunna git turfed out.
