I was 21 and I fell in love with my ex because she was really cute, her hair smelled good, I liked her butt and she called my house after I met her at a party and she seemed interested.
I was lonely, drinking too much and wanted love.
She has pretty eyes, she was so adorable that sometimes I couldn’t sleep and I’d lay awake and just look at her beautiful face while she slept in my arms.
I didn’t have to be the life of the party with her, I could just be myself and she said I was different and sweet and she felt safe with me.
She was and still is really hot.
15 years later it fell apart because our bond was never really strong enough.
She didn’t love me as much as I loved her and I loved her looks more than who she was as a person.
We grew apart and got to a point where we would rather go online and talk to anyone but each other.
Eventually she started cheating on me.

So that’s what happened with that one and hopefully the next time I fall in love it will for better reasons and with a woman who loves me equally.

Basically, we men are sexually driven. If you have a pretty face and a nice bod, we are checking you out. The closer we get to you, the closer we feel to you, and the closer we get to having sex with you, the more in love we may feel. But love isn’t all one thing or one simple emotion. I’ve seen lots of pretty girls, and I’ve been “in love” more than once. But there was this one girl I met once and it was like someone hit me in the head with a ball-peen hammer! I was IN LOVE!!! And when we went our separate ways, it took me forever (it seemed) for me to get over her. I was having dreams with her in them (not continually but once in a while) for 10 years. I think I fell in love because she looked like the perfect girl for me and what I liked in a woman.
