What are you listening to on repeat these days?

I’m going through a podcast phase right now. Instead of music, I’m listening to stories, radio shows, and lectures.

My current subscriptions are

The No Sleep Podcast (horror fiction)
Waking Up with Sam Harris,
10% Happier with Dan Harris (you’d like him – he is a journalist, and has been an outspoken supporter of the mental health community after he had a panic attack live on TV in 2004. The podcast is about mindfulness meditation as self-help)
Adam Ruins Everything (more in-depth interviews of people who appear on the TruTV show by the same name)

When I do listen to music, I’ve been listening to a lot of 80s punk rock and hardcore and heavy metal. Suicidal Tendencies, Danzig, stuff.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei soundtrack has been my last overlisten. This and Girigiri Pierrot are stuck in my head the most, as well as that song on a boat, where the sexy baldy appears to have caught some fish.
I love Adam too, he’s very informational and funny.

I’ve been listening to almost nothing but metal lately, then occasionally I break it up with 60s songs or the Etta James Pandora station.

I use both Google Play Music and Podcast Addict. Both are free on Android. 10% Happier is available on both.

I’m a big fan of Google play music.

I use the Podcast Republic app on my phone.

I usually only listen to the radio on the way to work or to drop my son off at school.
I hear a lot of top 40 stuff but that Maroon 5 song “Don’t wanna know” has been stuck in my head.
It’s kinda fitting for my life right now.

I’m a kind of hooked on this version of Black Napkins at the moment.
