Does not wearing glasses make a person's vision get worst? Does it cause headaches if you don't wear contacts?
I’m just asking because I think I look like 45–50% better without glasses and I really don’t like putting in contacts.
I was just curious if I could go without any eyewear at all and what the long term consequences might be if any?

I don’t know if contacts themselves cause headaches, but I think if you don’t wear your glasses you’ll have to strain harder to see things, which can cause headaches make your eyesight worse
No, it makes your vision worse.
This sort of thing varies tremendously with individuals, and I seriously doubt if there is a single universal pronouncement on the subject.
Well, I guess I’ll just try going to work with naked eyes and I’ll find out if I get a headache.
I wonder why vision would get worst?
You would think that straining your eyes would make them stronger? Who knows?
If I find that I’m more attractive without glasses and get hit on how will I know what she look’s like?
I actually did this once and a woman at work that I hadn’t met before was talking to me from across the room and I could barely see her.
I thought “What if we make a connection then the next time we see each other she won’t recognize me with glasses and I won’t recognize her because I’ve never seen her before.”
I guess love is blind.
I better just get contacts.

If it did you wouldn’t need glasses in the first place.
The Mayo Clinic says that wearing eyeglasses does not have any harmful effects.
It depends on your prescription, yes not wearing them can definately make your eyes get worse, according to what your correction is. In some cases, glasses must be worn, or crossed eyes will result.
Your eyes will definately not improve without the glasses.
Eventually, they will get worse no matter what you do, but it slows down if you wear the glasses.
Anyway, the nerd look is in, and glasses are sexy.
Contacts can be a pain to get used to, but once you do, they can be great. However, I lived for a time in the desert, and dusty windy conditions are AWFUL for wearing contacts.
Thanks guys.
I actually just cut my hair really short around the sides and back kinda like Mike “The Situation” from the Jersey Shore TV show and I took 2 pictures of myself because mirrors give an innacurate reverse image so anyway 1 picture with said eyewear and 1 without and I kinda think after the haircut I look a little better with my glasses on now.
So crisis averted I guess?
Thank you all for your input, happy Tuesday. : )
I don’t know about the effects on your vision, but I do know that squinting is very unattractive and will cause wrinkles around your eyes.
@Love_my_doggie Unless it’s seductive. Slightly squinting your eyes makes a person more attractive in photos, coupled with tilting the head or “looking from below”. Bonus points if your look is very focused.
