Do I need a business license to write books on Amazon?

Or am I good? Do I have to do any special tax returns?

You write the book(s) at home. You upload them to amazon, and then go through whatever their process. You do not need a license to write and self publish.

You do not have to do a special tax return; you do not need to do any tax return on what is published on amazon unless you make money.
