When I first saw my home planet from space.
Going to Vienna, I guess. It was the first and the last time I ever left my home country.
Giving birth. Being a mother, now a grand mother.
As far as negative, having to take my mom to Washington State and put her in a care facility. When she realized what was going on she wailed. Those were the worst moments of my life.
Giving birth and then, setting up my new house after a divorce. I had so much fun!
I designed and had a patio built, and designed a custom barn for my animals. I was SO pleased with my creativity and discovered I had inherited my Architect dads designing eye. I decorated all for myself, put in a hot tub and seriously, was high on life for a solid 5 years. Good times, good times!
Nice @Coloma! No more fucking flying ducks and bird dogs on the wall or mismatched, tacky pieces!
Do you have pictures you could share with us?
My first kiss.
I was a teenager sitting around a campfire and this drunk girl I knew sat beside me and was talking to me.
Honestly I didn’t think she liked me at all and I really didn’t flirt with her ever in school.
I was just kinda nodding my head while she talked about her family and then she rested her head on my shoulder or whatever and the next thing I knew I saw her in front of me and I felt something on my lips and I looked around and suddenly realized that I was being kissed and I’d better do something to make it seem like I’ve done this before.
I was totally caught by surprise when it happened because I was sitting there mad that the girl I had a crush on was making out with my friend.
The girl who kissed me also kinda had a boyfriend too, maybe? Then we made out more that night and never again after that.
My first kiss had no real romantic significance for me, but it’s still stuck in my head to this day. I guess it was just a nice surprise.
My first and second (last) weddings.
I can’t decide. There are many of them, and I can’t pick.
Playing the lead role in “Annie” when I was young.
(yes it was just community theater, but it was amazing!)
Saying goodbye to my dad at the airport before I emigrated. I still remember distinctly looking back at him and our eyes met and in that moment I knew I’d never see him again. Still brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. I don’t regret leaving, and he would have been so disappointed had I turned around and stayed, but it still breaks my heart.
The moment I heard he’d died.
The wonder of giving birth to my children and looking down into their eyes. Such an amazing moment.
The day my now husband knocked on my door and we saw each other again for the first time in years. It sounds ridiculous, but I knew that my life had just changed.
When we found the house we now live in. It was so exciting and we were trying desperately to act cool and disinterested, but we knew we really wanted this house.
There are so many other special, happy and sad memories. As @stanleybmanly said, it’s hard to decide which to mention.
There are so many.
Rafting the Arkansas in Colorado stands out. It was my first rafting trip and the river was raging due to a heavy winter snowpack. The river was a class IV and scary as hell. Our friend fell out and we struggled to retrieve her. Luckily she made it back in the raft.
The amazing part for me was that the other rafters told me they followed my lead during the trip. I rarely realize my potential. This trip reminded me that I can succeed.
When I first wore a dress with heels & full make up, gave me a full boner so it did, but that was only because all the men at the fair whistled & winked at me <giggles>
eeh, well that was just weird…
Falling in love and doing psychedelic drugs. Those are separate experiences, by the way.
Maybe when I first joined martial arts
Too many to recount. Good, bad, in between.
