Not that I heard.

It would be self contradictory for someone calling themselves a “scientist” to be opposed to the marches. They may not agree with the way of making statement, but they would not oppose it.

Trump’s anti-science policies are the government’s for now.

There are Christian scientists who believe in God but they don’t dispute scientific facts or methodology.

There are no “Flat Earth” scientists (that I know of) but there is a “Flat Earth” President.

I doubt it. Only opposition would come from scientists who realize the potential for the message to be overtaken by activists, trouble makers and people opposed to specific scientific facts or theories. Like church and state I strongly want politics out of science. Marches and protests are fertile ground for all manner of unsavory things. Getting political about EPA and research funding needs to happen though. I don’t know if it was always the case but there is rampant scientific illiteracy in even well developed countries right now. Whatever it takes to change this fact needs to start happening.

They have a problem with Trump @flo, because he’s in a position of extreme power. He can reverse all the previous efforts put in motion by past presidents to start saving the Earth.
He can, and will, influence education with his ignorant ideas.

@ARE_you_kidding_me You can’t get politics out of science. The problem is that political leaders should be listening to the scientists, not depriving them of funding and putting tape over their proverbial mouths by taking down their twitter accounts and their web pages. Science is a large part of what the government does (or should be doing). You can’t separate the two, you can only try to knock some sense in the politicians so that they listen to the data and research rather than ignore or deny it.

How about the astrologists, palm readers, ....you can eat it, because it’s not on the poop for more than five seconds (whatever they’re called) people?

They’re called “idiots” @flo. And what about them? What do they have to do with your question? You asked about scientists, not idiots.
