If you took a hollowed out metal donut, filled it with mercury, and wrapped the donut with an AC conducter, what would happen?
If you took a hollowed out metal donut, filled it with mercury, and wrapped the mercury filled donut with a live AC conducter, what would happen? What if the conductor was carrying a DC charge instead?
What if this donut was non metallic, perhaps ceramic?
