Yes. Even at its worst, life is good to me. I feel very lucky and happy to be alive and living where I live.
Good to see you @josie.
I appreciate every breath and love every glorious heart beat.
Well….I don’t know or remember what any other existence or non-existence is like. I don’t think I have enough information to answer that question.
Yes.
I’ve been meeting new people in my new town, which I have really enjoyed.
Last night I went to see Olivia Newton John, which was fun.
Last week I went to a retirement party for someone I really had a good time working with. I drove in from about 4 hours away, another person flew in from another state. Seeing some of the old “work family” was like a reunion, and made me incredibly happy!
I figure if I just keep doing things I enjoy I’ll keep appreciating life. Almost daily I look for something to do. Zumba, a tourist thing, help someone, cuddle with my husband, watch my favorite tv show. So many things.
Yes. I’m grateful for many things – a good job, good benefits, living in a country where many resources and much recreation is available to me, having a good family and friends, living in a nice area. Many things I have to be happy for.
Generally, yes. Some days, not so much.
Absolutely! if I wasn’t, I wouldn’t be here!
Life is good!
Certainly better than the alternative.
I ain’t happy
I’m feelin’ glad
I got sunshine in a bag
I’m useless, but not for long
my future, it’coming on, it’s coming on, it’s coming on, it’s coming on….
I am very happily alive at the moment and at some hopefully distant time in the future I plan to be happily dead.
I am happy to be alive.
Now I just have to figure out how to get the most out of life because I waste a lot of time being unhappy if that makes any sense?
I’ll use another music reference, like @Sneki95. But I’ll use lyrics from Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”
‘I don’t wanna die, but I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all….’
Not really. I have that ‘been there, done that’ kind of attitude.
And what @MrGrimm888 said.
Lately, yes. I’ve had times in the past where I thought I might not wake up in the morning and I was OK with that. Nowadays my life is much better though.
It’s not something I ever think about. I am happy or sad about all sorts of different aspects of my life, but simply being alive just is, so I never think about it in those terms.
I am here, so I try to make the best of my life. If I wasn’t here, I wouldn’t know about it, so it wouldn’t matter.
No. I suffer every day, often all day long and through the night. I am hoping for better before I die.
Yes, but I think that’s self-preservation.
We’re not wired to want to die. People in terrible countries still want to live.
Some days very much so. And some days I simply don’t think about it. And some days, not really unhappy about life, but crazy to get over the day.
We all have good days, and bad days and those days in-between where we just exist and move through.
Pretty much. I enjoy my life.
I think a serious brush with death every few years would be very good for a lot of people.
Yes I am. I was so sick for the past 3 years. But I was able to figure out everything that was making me sick and it was either taken out of my body or culprits were removed from my environment.
@Espiritus_Corvus I honestly thought I was going to die during that time. So despite my aches and changes I am healthy and mentally stable and very happy to be alive.
I feel loved, feel love, I feel I have something to contribute, I have few good reasons to get out of bed in the morning, so yes, I’m happy to be alive.
^^edit: “I have few good reasons to get out of bed in the morning” should read: “I have quite a few good reasons…”
Very glad to read that edit Mr Strauss :-)
^Yeah. Good news is good news.
Absolutely. Death would be painful, and I don’t like pain. Pain hurts.
