I was just notified that one of my questions does not meet quality standards… what gives?

Hahahahah…. don’t worry.
You still have even more bad/critical situations to come. Don’t act like Pessimist…

“Contact the mods” button is right up there on the right, next to the “search” box. They can tell you.

You can hang your head in shame or you can realize as others have told you, that content is moderated here. You can either accept it or not stay and if you don’t understand why, ask the mods for an explanation. One of the reasons this is not YA is because of the moderation.

LOL that’s not a big deal. The mods usually explain what is up and give you a chance to fix the question. It’s all with good intention. You’ve probably worded it in a confisive way, or have some grammar mistakes or something. Just ask them what’s up.
And keep your head up.

If you agree do the changes otherwise it’ll be kept in the same state. We all make mistakes so nothing to be ashamed of.

The mods are what makes this site great.
Questions are supposed to be one sentence in the form of a question using proper grammar and spelling. (They do give non-native English speakers a little slack, thankfully.)
If it is a general question it goes in General, If it is a social question it goes in “Social” and if it is about interacting with the this site it goes in “Meta”. Simple. Sometime the mods will move a question for that reason.

You don’t need to hang your head in shame. You either fix the question or forget about it and move on. I’m guessing everyone here has been modded at some point.

I’m thankful the mods are there and appreciate all they do.

It’s happened to all of us. Just edit it (as per the mods suggestions) and move on. It doesn’t say anything about you personally.

Yeah, it’s happened to most of us. You can even ask the Mods to give you some examples of how to re-word your question. They are super helpful : )
