When is the last time that life has happened to you?

Yesterday, I was removing a wheel on my canoe trailer so I could fix a leaky tire. I broke two of the four bolts off in the process. The nuts were frozen from rust.

I was trying to fix one thing, and broke two other things…

My last functional power window in my truck died. So now, my windows don’t role down, I have a broken AC, and it’s going to be 94° tomorrow….

FTW…

I MADE MYSELF A BOWL OF MARSHMALLOWS…

AND I DROPPED IT.

I REALLY WANTED THOSE MARSHMALLOWS.
SO I MAKE ANOTHER BOWL

AND MY DOG EATS IT

Life happens constantly. The wonder of life is all around us, we just need to open our eyes to the wonder.

An hour after a wonderful run in the hills at sunset, I got a message from someone i have known for almost fifty years. He was diagnosed today with Stage 4 colon cancer, with lymph and liver involvement.

Life is all around you.

I was really feeling sorry for myself because my car broke down and I couldn’t afford to have it fixed, so I had to walk to work, about 2 miles.

As I was walking a beautiful rainbow formed in the sky, so my spirits were lifted, and I looked up to enjoy it. This caused me to trip over an uneven place in the sidewalk and fall and break my ankle. I missed work the next few days, and had a cast on my foot for a couple of months.

I still love rainbows.

as far as I know, I am currently alive. so, life must be happening to me right now.

Just now. Oh, and now. Now too. Actually every second that I’ve been alive.

When the girl I’ve been dating told me she’s so in love with me. I have never felt more alive since then.
