Where? Anywhere. I mean could there be a let’s say 123 Kennedy street, and you ask what is the cross street, and they tell you ” Kennedy street” Would you think they must be wrong or what? If you don’t think that they must have it wrong, why not? Would you think a city wouldn’t want to try and be confusing or not?

If you visit Atlanta GA you’ll find that there are numerous less than 71 thoroughfares in that city named “Peachtree”, resulting in several intersections where one Peachtree crosses another.
@Strauss That’s amazing!
I’ referring to what comes after the name, I mean Peachtree street, could cross Peachtree avenue, or road, or boulevard…etc. but how could it be Peachtree_street_ crossing Peachtree street etc ?
Yes, there are intersections, especially in suburban developments where streets cross back on them selves.
Look at these streets in Princeton NJ
We have several streets in our city that are shaped like a “Q” a circle with a leg off of it. So “Oak Ridge Street” crosses “Oak Ridge Street” at the leg of the “Q”. I live on one and it drives delivery people KRazzeee !
In my experience those roads are usually called loops or circles, but sometimes they use the word street.
@strauss – also in north Atlanta (roughly speaking just a bit north of Perimeter Mall), there is an intersection where the named road (Peachtree Dunwoody Rd) makes a 90 degree right turn. The hanging road signs there do show Peachtree Dunwoody being a cross street of Peachtree Dunwoody.
Screwiest city planning I ever saw.
I used to pass that intersection often when I lived in Norcross.
In my neighborhood (in Lakewood Washington) Zircon Drive NW intersects with Zircon Drive NW. It’s the corner Zircon and Zircon. People get lost frequently and ask me for directions out of there. One time the guy delivering the US Mails asked me for directions.
Also about 3 miles from where I live is the corner of Chambers Creek Rd and Chambers Creek-Chambers Creek Rd.
I’ve seen this often, especially in rural areas.
Is it not possible to give GA when using a tablet? I’m trying to make this post a whisper I don’t know ill it will work
