How safe is the pwnage tool?

I’m thinking of jailbreaking my iPod touch, can I have detailed instructions on how to safely jailbreak my 2.0.1 iPod touch?

no because I’m asking for detailed instructions and the overall safety. But I’d also like to ask that if I do jailbreak my iPod, and if I restore it, will it restore to 2.0 firmware with the app store and mail, notes, etc?

You can’t break an iPod by messing with software! Just do a restore if you run into a problem.
