Why do I keep seeing the number "33" all the time when I am not looking for it?

The reason is because of a natural tendency to spot patterns and the human inclination toward bias. I can’t recall the name of this specific bias, maybe someone else will remember.

It might also be that your subconscious is also trying to bring your attention to something else that it associates with that number.

Well, the answer I gave that got clipped was saying what @SF linked directly. If you see a particular number frequently it’s because you are looking for it, not directly but it will only register if you remember it. Think about the number 19, now just wait a week and report back how often you happen upon it randomly.

I’m pretty sure it (seeing 33 everywhere) wasn’t planned that way.
