Sorry to hear this….....................
Been listening to Eat a Peach all afternoon….
What about “Jessica”? They were so, so good.
My cousin, John Prestia, wrote the last radio hit that the Allmans had, a song called ‘No One To Run With’ sometime in the early 90s. He showed it to Dickie Betts one night over cookies and milk, and Betts took half the writing credit, but John really wrote the whole thing (“He’s Dickie Betts….what am I going to do…?”)
Anyway, thanks for everything, Gregg….......and RIP…...
I will be rolling down highway 41 this weekend and will play Rambling Man on the stereo while I do.
I’ve loved the Allmans band since I was a teen. I hear
Gregg’s Hammond B3 loud and clear when I think of them.
Be careful out there, @Call Me Jay, Highway 41 runs through my town.
