I think the answer is drugs, despite the mode of transportation. Personally, I can't imagine either of our cats surviving a plane flight, despite the duration. We drove with our cats from Baltimore to Rhode Island last month. While they don't like the car, with light sedation they tolerate it well....they will just complain vocally from time to time.

one hour is better than ten hours of torture

a 1-hour flight is NOT just 1 hour long! You have to drive to the airport, get there 90 minutes in advance to go through security. very few flights are "on time" nowadays, so there could be delays at any point in the trip. when all is said and done, you really don't save all that much time over driving.

I agree with the first response... consider sedation; discuss it with your vet. Good luck to you and the kitty!

In the car you can talk to Kitty and ease her scare. Either way there will be drama to tend to in the aftermath!
