What if a cat has never had a voice?
I have had my cat since I adopted her three years ago at approximately 5 years old and she has never has a voice, at least since I have had her. Is his abnormal?

I had one like that. Don’t know if it’s normal or not but it didn’t hurt her.
Many cats have little or no voice.
Count your blessings. This is a good thing.
She might be or have Abyssinian, American Shorthair and/or Cornish Rex blood in her. These breeds often produce cats that remain silent all their lives. It’s normal for them. Nothing to worry about.
Every cat I’ve ever known has appeared to me to be quite intelligent. It could be arrogance. She may feel everybody around her is a real dumbass, starting with that goddamned dog, if you have one, and she feels there is nothing she can say that will improve the situation. LOL. Quiet desperation.
Don’t know the answer to that, but if my granddaughters would let me, I’d make you a swap. They insisted I had to start getting “their” kitty Meow Mix cat food, nothing else would do. Being a believer in keeping my progeny happy, I caved. Now some months on, the annoying critter won’t eat anything but Meow Mix. And I’m damned if I’m going to Wally World at two in the morning to pacify some damn cat that won’t stop meowing. She has plenty of food, plenty of water. If I had somehow managed to live out my days as an old crotchety bachelor, with no brood of kids and grand kids, I doubt I’d keep a pet anyway. Never been a big animal person.
…Why do you say the cat won’t eat anything but Meow Mix? Under what circumstances do you try to feed her something other than that?
@Dutchess_III I kid you not, I have tried tuna, other brands of cat food of, anything I can think of – she won’t touch it. Give her Meow Mix and she scarfs it up. Go figure.
Does it matter though @NomoreY_A? I mean it’s a cat not a kid who won’t eat anything but PB&J.
@Dutchess_III Doesn’t matter to me but I don’t like her to be hungry. And that crap is more expensive than most brands. I like to keep my grand kids happy, but I have to watch my wallet too.
Oh. Well. Just get the cheap stuff and let her whine for a few days. She’ll eat it eventually.
