Why does Fluther look different sometimes?

Asked by MrGrimm888 (19541points) June 13th, 2017

Every now and then, Fluther is set up different, and looks different. Why? I always use the same device.

Can you be more specific? How does it look different?

Is the different setup that you’re seeing narrower than normal? If so, you might be ending up on the mobile version somehow.

Now it looks normal again.

When I asked, it looked kinda like the desktop version. Very small font, very basic looking. And it was slower than normal.

You are alternating between mobile and desktop versions.
I don’t know why.

Yeah. Now it’s weird again. It’s not the same as desktop. But shitty…

@MrGrimm888 I’ve never seen that. What are u using?

….What I do see is when I use the desktop, the Fluther logo and whtever images are beside it appeared and disappeared within the last half an hour or so. Eatlier it was the logo that wasn’t there now it’s the other set of images next to it, on Firefox. On Explorer it’s the opposite.

I’m using Google Chrome. It’s back to wierd again now. I’ve had issues before, but it is like 50% of the time now…

Another difference. When I type in a jelly’s name, it’s usually red. In “different fluther, ” it’s purple.

And, using asterisks to make words bold, doesn’t seem to work….

And, I can’t switch to Social, or Meta on the home page. It’s stuck on general.

@MrGrimm888 Any chance you could get us some screenshots?

MrGrimm888's avatar

Unfortunately not. I’ve never been able to post links.

SavoirFaire's avatar

Could you send them to me via PM? Just the raw link would be fine.

It looks normal now. I’ll try next time it’s acting up.
