Has anyone else watched "The Patriot" series from amazon?
There are so many aspects of the thing I’d like to discuss with someone, but I can’t seem to find anyone who’s viewed it. The thing is a tour de force commentary on both the humor and tragedy sprouting from irony.

It’s on my list, and it’s a fairly short list. Have you enjoyed it?
yes. I’ve been through all 10 episodes twice, and know I will tackle the marathon again soon(at a more leisurely pace).
I’m not sure I can tell you why I find myself fixated on the series, but months after viewing it, so many questions pile up in my head involving the plot, that I start again from the beginning, and the answers are (satisfyingly) there. Check this out. The homicide rate is so low in Luxembourg (I checked it out and it’s .72 (that’s less than one if you missed the decimal point) per year. So in our little story, the women detectives of the city are all shunted to the homicide squad which is composed exclusively of these smart women jeered at relentlessly by their male counterparts. Nice touch, don’t you think?
I hadn’t heard of it, but you make it sound interesting! I’ll consider giving it a shot.
It’s about a man whose father runs a department for clandestine overseas operations in some unnamed U.S. intelligence agency. The son is the top operative for his dad,but there is absolutely nothing smooth or James Bondlike about him. He relaxes by composing these folk like tunes spontaneously while accompanying himself on the guitar. But here’s the hook. The guy’s coming apart. He’s so conflicted by what he does, that he’s taken to sitting around on park and plaza benches blaring out songs describing his missions and particularly the foul ups in the missions. He is wistfully unaware that he’s doing this, but the foulups are frequent and nearly always due to some bureaucratic misstep or failure in oversight on the part of the intelligence agency. So he’s singing a lot! Google up the reviews. All of the major U.S. papers have reviewed the series.

Who knows how many people he has killed, and he chose that line of work.
