Any of my SF Jelly friends have suggestions as to a casual restaurant for a group dinner?

Will be out for my son’s wedding in September and the Ex and I will host a small family dinner. Looking for suggestions ideally near the Ferry Building that will take a group reservation but not break the bank.
Chinatown might be fun too. Presumably we could Uber or Lyft there and they would be good for a group?

Don’t go to Chinatown. It would be fun, but the food is mediocre. If you want really good Chinese food, go to either the Hong Kong Lounge 1 or Hong Kong Lounge 2 (they are different restaurants by the same owner, and they barely speak English when you call on the phone so be SURE you’re making reservations at the one you go to). But they’re father away from the Ferry building and you’d definitely have to Lyft there.
For good Tapas, Thirsty Bear Brewing Company is good. Italian, my favorite place is Locanda. I hear it’s sister restaurant Delfina is good. I also hear Waterbar is good, and that’s closer to where you will be.
If you can get a table, the Park Tavern on the edge of North Park is sensational. Good burgers and beer at Monk’s Kettle.
This ought to get you started.
Oh – also any place we can BART to would be fine as well. Just looked at the Monk’s Kettle.
Monk’s Kettle is near the 16th Street BART station. As is Locanda and Delfina if I remember correctly.
Delancey st. Check out the menu. It’s the best deal for white linen dining and reasonably good food at an affordable price. On the Embarcadero. Three blocks from the ferry building.
how many will there be for dinner?
I like Delancey Street too!
Also, Slanted Door at the Ferry Building, modern Vietnamese food, although that may be on the pricey side. They have a private room.
Delancey Street is also spacious with plenty of circular tables that will sit 6 and a couple of tables that will sit 8.
We’ll probably be between 8 and 10.
