Are you able to identify if a certain happy feeling is triggered by your drinking coffee?

Is it just coincidence or is it caffeinated coffee which gives me that sudden feeling of optimism a few minutes after I start drinking it?

I don’t know about you, but coffee never does it for me. Sure, coffee makes me feel more stimulated mentally, but nowhere near happiness.
Maybe it’s just your brain being simulated too?
I found that when I used to drink a can of diet soda around mid-day it gave me an emotional lift. Coffee just makes me kind of jumpy so I rarely drink it but I imagine the principle is the same.
“Chronic caffeine intake has been shown to increase the receptors of serotonin (26–30% increase), GABA (65% increase), and acetylcholine (40–50%). This may contribute to the elevated mood and perceived increase in energy we feel after a coffee (which makes espresso a handy pre-workout drink).” Source
No. I drink less than half a cup of coffee in the morning. Any more than that I feel shaky, irritable, scatter brained, everything except happy.
I haven’t noticed optimism, but I do find it comforting (I drink a bit of good coffee mixed with lots of milk and a little bit of sugar), soothing, and a little bit stimulating.
If I don’t have any, I sometimes get some withdrawal symptoms (headache, fatigue, fog, grumpy).
It keeps me awake and alert at work, and keeps the boss pacified because he never caught me asleep. Otherwise, I have been drinking it for so many years, I don’t feel anything one way or another.
