Are you an expert on anything?

I don’t consider myself an expert, but I’m very knowledgable about nutrition and healthy cooking. How about you? What’s your forte?

I’m quite knowledgeable about a handful of things but but wouldn’t call myself an expert. Some of this, some more of that, even more of something else but nothing certifiable. Oh, and lots of trivia. haha

Using double daggers in practice fights with the SCA. I won a tavern brawl, and got one gem for backstabbing my teammates just as we ran out of enemys,Humor and the second gem for winning the battle. I traded them for blueberry wine. That evaporated before I had a chance to drink some two years later.

Based on this article, I’d say I’m extremely knowledgeable in some areas, but I’m not comfortable saying I’m an expert.

I know… a fair amount… about a lot of things:
– sailing (in very general terms), including ropework, knots and splicing techniques;
– Microsoft Excel and Access, including VBA (visual basic for applications – macros, in a word);
– language (specifically the English language), including spelling, vocabulary, grammar, usage and syntax, some etymology;
– industrial construction, specifically coal-fired power boiler erection, welding and nondestructive examination, the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section I);
– logic, logical argument and analysis (including a passing familiarity with most of the common logical fallacies)

And maybe a bit more. But I don’t consider myself any kind of expert in any of those things. Better than some, maybe, but I know better examples in every single field.

I’m the master of mediocrity.

I can do al lot of different kinds of things just OK and nothing exceptionally well.

I know a little bit about everything and a lot about nothing.
