Do you ever use the word "albeit"?

Even though it sounds a little archaic, I use it all the time.

Yes. albeit rarely.

Yes, quite often. It is the perfect word in certain circumstances.

I would have thought @rockfan if as you say you use the word all the time you would have used it in place of “even though” in your opening answer.

@ucme albeit isn’t meant to be used in the opening of a sentence

rarely, but this little question has pulled the word up from dusty obscurity in our heads. I wonder if we will now find it popping up more frequently here.

It’s a useful little word that I use occasionally in everyday speech. Why should I not use it?

Yes, on occasion. I may use it more when writing than speaking but I do employ it now and then.
