Can anything be done for carpet that is buckling?

Asked by janbb (63222points) July 20th, 2017

Had carpet laid about 5 -6 years ago. In two of the bedrooms and the hall it is buckling, that is, rippling in places. Can a carpet layer do anything for that?

You can stretch it back flat: http://www.wikihow.com/Stretch-Carpet
or pay someone to do it.

@RocketGuy Thank you! I’ll look into that.

Yes, a carpet guy can come in and stretch the carpet and reconnect at the walls. Don’t delay. You’ll have to have it cleaned after stretching so be watching for coupons in that weekly mailing of ads.
