Do elementary schools still have those little pictures of all the presidents in classrooms?
I’m thinking of the ones that would usually run around the room and go over the chalkboard. And they would just add a new one to end if there was a new president.
Just wondering if the kids have to stare at the pussy-grabber all day in class.

I went to elementary school in the 60’s and 70’s in California, and not only did we not have all the different pictures of Presidents, we didn’t even have any picture the President who was in office at the time (Nixon, and then Ford). Neither did my junior high school or high school.
My nephew’s elementary school, currently, does not have any pictures of the President and never has.
I always thought that was something you just saw on TV, like on Leave It To Beaver.
Odd. At least the schools I went to in Oregon all had them in every class. They were just little printed things about six inches tall and would be stapled to the wall.
I looked on google and had no luck finding pictures of these. But I asked my sister and she remembers them to since she got in trouble defacing the one of Reagan.
My daughter’s school had a large door poster in some rooms with all the presidents on it.
I don’t remember ever seeing that.
I only remember seeing Washington and Lincoln, and JFK. No kid wanted LBJ or Nixon on the wall.
My father went to Catholic school during the Depression, and used to talk about the nuns having pictures of “Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and FDR.”
We had them in each classroom back in the day.
My local Mexican restaurant has a picture of all of Mexico’s presidents.
I have a vague memory of that from elementary school. This was in the 1970’s in Western New York.
In case you would like a set for your home: Presidents
I think I had one class that had a poster of the presidents on the wall.
@ragingloli :: I don’t think the intention was some sort of indoctrination or anything. We have the Pledge of Allegiance for that. I think it was more of a aid to learn the order of the Presidents similar to first graders having the alphabet up on the wall.
