I am not a fan of his, so not listening to his records is only a statement on my not liking it.

But this statement “after knowing his sex crimes?” is inflammatory, because it is all hearsay! He has been investigated repeatedly and not been found guilty.

I’m not a huge fan. But I guess it wouldn’t effect me listening to his music. After all, I still listen to, and love Michael Jackson’s music.

It’s an odd thing for sure. I’m not sure what it says about human nature….

Are the songs good?
If yes, then yes, I’d listen.
If no, then I wouldn’t listen.

His private life is nothing I should be concerned with.

I didn’t listen to R. Kelly before.

I didn’t listen to him before; I have no intention to listen now. So, @NerdyKeith , these accusations will not change my listening habits one iotum.

I haven’t listened to him since the 1990’s. He is repulsive and a criminal.

I don’t know who he is.

I usually try to separate the art from the creator, but sometimes it goes too far and I just flat out refuse to support the artist’s career. I will not listen to or support anything related to Chris Brown after he beat up Rihanna. A case where I don’t agree with the artist’s views, but still listen to their music would be Morissey from The Smiths. Because the things I don’t agree with him on are things like politics and lifestyle choices, and less things like beating up women and just being a criminal in general, I am able to separate that stuff from the music and enjoy it still.

I’ve have heard of R. Kelly but I have never heard his music or even plan on listening to it because it just doesn’t interest me, not my thing. However, say I wanted to listen to his music, I would as of now, because like someone else said, it’s all just hearsay at this point.

I never liked his music before he pissed on that teenage girl so I have no reason to listen to it now either.
The whole Trapped in a closet saga was just annoying.

Well, that’s very depressing. The first time I heard that song it was at a funeral for an 8 year. It was the first funeral I’d ever been to. Dustin was with his dad over spring break. His dad was a truck driver. Dad wrecked his truck. Dustin was in the sleeper cab, sleeping.
The song still gives me shivers, and makes me cry.

I don’t listen to his music at all.
