We don’t. We do buy them Christmas presents.
There is a local burger joint called Good Times Their signature hand-spun shakes are called “Spoonbenders”. So they came up with a canine treat called a “Pawbender”. It’s frozen custard with peanut butter for topping and a doggy treat on the top.
I can’t. I always adopt stray and rescue animals, who arrive with no history. I don’t know their birthdays, but every day’s a celebration.
^^ You can have it on the day they came to you.. it’s like a new life for them already..)
I remember their adoption dates but don’t celebrate those, I don;t know their exact birth dates, just generalized season and year. They get treats and toys every day.
Never had a pet birthday. And you just reminds me that my dear dog died before he reached his birthday.
As for the fish, if there were birthdays for every single one of them, every second would be a ball.
There’s a place in my town called “The Barkery” that makes hand-made treats. We sometimes get her one of those.
By treating them as well as I can, all the time. Since I don’t know when their birthdays are, and they extra-especially don’t know/care/understand-the-concept, there is even less reason than with humans to focus attention on a particular day.
Romantic dinner under candle light, and then
I used to get him a couple of cans of Alpo. The rest of the year he got dry (good quality!) dog food.
