General Question
How long does oil & wax wood sealant last when applied to exotic wood?

The exotic wood type in mention is IPE (Brazilian Walnut). I know this type of wood has a very good rot resistance. Untreated, it can last 25 years before needing to be replaced. I also know water-resistance increases if cut in a manner that leaves the surface smooth. Keeping these facts in mind, if oil & wax sealant is applied to exotic wood, how long will the sealant last before needing to apply a new coat?
