A question for those that like country music: What are your favorite country albums from the past few years?

Well I’m a Bluegrass guy but not country. Does that count?

Well, no.

By nature I am reticent, hesitant and not too diligent when it comes to clicking onto suspicious country music.

When my father was dying in 1998, he weakly said, “Son….whatever you do…(cough-cough)….never carelessly approach count….”

Then he suddenly died.

I can only presume he was trying to say ‘country music’.....

I’m with @Rarebear I like Bluegrass and some country rock, like old Lynard Skinnard, Allman Bros. etc. but hardcore country in its truest form is my most disliked musical genre. Too much sad sack, cryin’ in my Coors Lite, dog died, my truck quit, my girl left me for a rodeo clown guess I’ll just drink myself to death now.
That said, if I had to choose between Rap and Country for a torture session I’d go with country.
My sanity might remain intact a few hours longer before irreversible madness fully set in. haha

Yeah…..to me, anyone getting wealthy from “writing” some of these nondescript, all-the-same-as-each-other girly-girl “songs” is really getting away with something. Like robbing a stagecoach….guns drawn…handkerchiefs covering their faces….the whole deal…..

Country can be OK at times.

A lot of pop and rock are filled with those cliches as well.

@rockfan Hey, a few days ago I took the time to post a song that I wrote and recorded, and nobody bothered to click on it…..so you’ll get no sympathy here….

Well you certainly don’t seem like an open minded person if you can’t listen to 30 seconds of a genre that you dislike

Yeah, I am pretty close-minded…...you got me there…..

Preferences have nothing to do with being open minded. I prefer to not stick my finger in a light socket because it wouldn’t feel good. Country music doesn’t give me a feel good feeling so I don’t listen to it. It is annoying and irritating to me.
