Here is the article. Will Bannon tell all, give out Trump’s secrets or keep his mouth shut? And what does this mean, if anything to the presidency?

Trump is like a bull in the bull ring, turning around blindly and lashing out with the sticks stuck in him. He doesn’t know whom to appease or flail out at first. However, I think Bannon’s ousting was probably pushed for by some few of the adults in the room.
I suspect Bannon will not tell all, but will go back to (or continue) being the darling of the far white.
It’s certainly gratifying to have that hate-monger out but I don’t think Trump will ever change his spots (to mix animal metaphors.)
I’m applauding the news media for this one.
For days, the media have been reporting that Trump can never fire Bannon – either Trump’s too afraid of and intimidated by Bannon, or perhaps Bannon has too much dirt on Trump and can harm him. I have no doubt that this was an orchestrated, and highly effective, ploy. Much like a contrary child, Trump will say “Oh, yes I can, and I say so!” when he’s told he can’t do something. By the same reasoning, Trump would have dug-in his heels, and kept Bannon on staff, if the media had demanded a termination.
I am relieved. I have had the fear that trump would pull a Nixon, oust Pence, name Bannon to VP then resign. Pence is bad, but not as bad as Bannon! I don’t imagine he’ll be all the way gone, just out of sight. Ugh.
Excellent analogy, @janbb.
Bannon had to go—too much opposition to him from inside and outside the administration after Charlottesville and Trump’s disgusting response and cozy-up to the alt-right.
But little will change until Trump himself is out, either by resigning or impeachment/conviction, one or both I am convinced will happen sooner than later.

So what General will Trump get to replace him?
@filmfann General Chaos. (And Happy Anniversary!)
^ With his assistant, “Major Disapointment”.
Not to mention Colonel Korn
It’s not clear to me whether Bannon resigned or was asked to resign but I suppose it doesn’t matter since his resignation was accepted either way. I am sure that General Kelly had a hand in this and if I were to hitch my wagon to anyone in the Whitehouse, it would be Kelly. Kelly has the one thing that Trump values over everything else, success. I suspect he’ll have a hand in any replacement as well. Military background is a good fit for a Whitehouse that lacks discipline, since that is their strength.
Kelly is indeed the guy. He’s also the one to watch. If he jumps ship, I will suspect that the end is near. He’s kind of their last hope for a functioning Whitehouse.
What now? I don’t actually think it will make any important difference. Extracting a rotten tooth is a good idea, but it’s not going to cure your cancer.
Trust me. The next guy will be worse.
The stanch Republican puppet master is out. HOORAY! Good riddance! Can Trump operate as a Republican without someone to pull his strings? It can’t get any worse than it was…
@kritiper,
> It can’t get any worse than it was
I thought that, too, during the second Bush presidency. After the 2016 election, I swore not to say it again.
”It can’t get any worse than it was…”

More Trump hate & gossip…that’s what now.
@Jeruba and @cookieman Remember that thing Obama talked about? That thing called HOPE?? We can HOPE it can’t get any worse.
