It matters a great deal
because there are far too
many of us and we move around a lot. It is decidedly in my own self interest to promote your good health even if you reside on the opposite side of the globe. Simply put, it is ever more difficult to isolate whatever afflicts you to your side of that globe, and there’s a very good chance that one of your primary ambitions is to come here.
Can you define global health? I’m unsure if you mean the health of humans around the globe, or the health of the literal globe, or something else.
I’m more concerned about global mental heath quite frankly.
That said, of course, you’d have to be a sadist to not wish that every living human could be cared for on a medical level. If you mean global health as in the planets heath, my biggest passions are environmentalism, conservation and saving endangered species.
@Mariah sorry I meant the health of humans around the globe
Oh okay cool, thanks for clarifying.
Well I’m pretty strongly in the camp that says that healthcare ought to be a human right. Many first world countries have done a good job implementing universal healthcare but there is a long way to go in others.
I feel very strongly about global health. I’ve traveled to various countries around the world to set up camps to provide free medical care to those who don’t have access to it. This has been what I call my “duty”.
Here where I live, people don’t understand exactly how lucky we are. Around the world, people are dying of diseases that extremely easy to fix here where I live. We take for granted things as simple as brushing our teeth everyday.
