Not me. But, for someone who’s sensitive to sulfa drugs, Bactrim can create flulike symptoms – fever, aches, and fatigue.

Me neither. But my body handles medications like that very well. Everybody is different.

I’m allergic. Sulfa drugs have one of the highest rates, if not the highest rate, of allergic reactions for the antibiotic category. Your reaction isn’t allergy though, just a side effect. Maybe you are being overmedicated? Maybe your dose is too high? You can certainly try another drug next time you need antibiotics.

No. I like it because it’s one that I can take with no intestinal issues as a side effect.

Well, turns out I wasn’t taking enough Bactrim . I have the stronger prescription and was taking one every 24 hours then I read to take it every 12 hours. What a difference! It was my dumb mistake. I was weaker and weaker because, I assume, the bacteria was trying to get into my kidneys.

^^^ UTI? Those are nasty things. I shudder to think how women suffered before there were sulfa drugs and antibiotics.

Did they give you Cipro?
