Do you need a driver's licence to be a racing driver?
If not, are there any racing drivers that do not have one?

You don’t need a government driver’s license to drive a race car on a track. In fact, a few have lost their street license from too many infractions.
From Aug 24, 2011
Nascar’s Kyle Busch loses driver’s license after speeding ticket. Nascar points leader Kyle Busch lost his driver’s license for 45 days yesterday for driving 128 mph on a road close to a day-care center and church in a nearly $400,000 Lexus LFA. The car was bright yellow.
Most racing associations require a “Racing License”.
My oldest son races motorcycles and has a American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) road racing license which includes a physical, written exam and proficiency on a motorcycle.
Max Verstappen debuted in Formula 1 aged 17.
He didn’t have his driver’s license yet.
In the Netherlands you need to be 18 years old in order to get it.
Super licence is what’s required & yeah, Verstappen although his Red Bull car continues to prove extremely unreliable.
Yes. Even drag racing’s categories require a license to drive in that category. Super Stock, Funny Car and Top Fuel all require a separate license to drive in that category.
My husband club races, and I don’t know if they require a driver’s license, good question. He does have a racing license (it might have expired at this point, because he hasn’t raved in a year). For his racing license he had to get a physical to the standard that PCA required, I don’t know if the physical and health requirements are the same for every association. Plus, he had to race as a “rookie” and get approved, before he was officially ok to race.
Edit: I’m just thinking that kids can race karts without a driver license, and I’m pretty sure some tracks let teenagers race some sort of stock cars, who aren’t old enough for a license.
