Because it malfunctions all the time and nobody will fix it.

I wouldn’t use it if it wasn’t broken. I have the attention span of a gnat and can’t keep up with the talk going on in chat rooms.

Well, lets see!

UzZiBiKeR's avatar

I’m in chat right now. Lets see the malfunction.

Try join chat and then hit watering hole. I’ll go there now.

the rooms spark up now and then. But interest in them dwindles quickly. My guess is that our community is just too small to field a groups large enough to keep the rooms occupied. Actually this topic is grounds for a question that occasionally crosses my mind. Better ask it now before I forget (again).

I don’t like the fast and furious and random nature of chat room. It seems unnecessary and superfluous to the regular Q&A format of Fluther, so I never use it.

The chat used to be so busy they had to add multiple rooms to slow it down.

But it isn’t that chat sucks or anything. There just has to be a “seed”. People go in and it is empty and then they leave right away. But if you have a person or two in there all day where if someone logs in and you ask them about their day it snowballs.

My chat has sometimes five people active and there are only 12 registered accounts.
