My career test suggested that I be a member of the clergy. What faith should I pick ?

Asked by RedDeerGuy1 (24946points) September 20th, 2017

I might do the belief-o-matic later. From what you know of me what religion should I pick? My best guess it that I am a immortal Christian false god, but I’m willing to convert.

Definitely Church of Zeus. There’s lightning and all kinds of wild goings on.

@Hawaii_Jake What is the pay like? Do I have to relocate? Humor aside seriously what faith should I pick?

Hawaii_Jake's avatar

You’ll have to move to Greece. There’s no pay…

Please go straighten out the Westboro Babtists. Just go. Go now. They need you. Now go!

@RealEyesRealizeRealLies I have an unspoken peace treaty with Alberta’s Baptist churches. They tried to pressure me to convert ever since 1995. I’ve teased too many people and want to get along now.

It must be the end. All has been revealed.

How about starting your own religion? You could play video games online with your parishoners instead of preaching fire and brimstone. And you could have pizza instead of communion wafers. Instead of walking on water, you could just walk around the block and everyone would rejoice.

Be kind, that’s all. You’ve already got a good start on that. That’s all you need to be a good clergyman of the Church of Red Deer Guy 1. Now, live in peace my son : )

Church of Doctor Who. Check with the BBC. Maybe you can get them to hire you.

Atheism. It takes just as much faith.

@kritiper

Do you believe in the Tooth Fairy? My guess is “no”.

kritiper's avatar

@Darth_Algar Of course not. That’s just silly…

Darth_Algar's avatar

@kritiper

And why don’t you?

kritiper's avatar

@Darth_Algar “And why don’t” I? Why don’t I what? Believe in the tooth fairy? I’ll leave that up to people like you who obviously do.

Darth_Algar's avatar

Was that suppose to be an insult, or what?

Seriously though, follow along here…

You don’t believe in the Tooth Fairy because it’s an absurd notion with no evidence behind it, right? Now would you claim that it takes just as much faith to not believe in the Tooth Fairy as it does to believe in it? No, of course you wouldn’t. It is not an act of faith to not believe in something which has no evidence and which is so far-fetched as to defy all empirical rules of our Universe.
