If con artists are so smart, why don't they try to take over the world and maintain themselves on the top?
Think of Focus, or ads in general. Maybe it’s what politics is all about.

You mean like Trump? Well, “smart” doesn’t really apply there, but whoever decided to let him be the Republican candidate wasn’t just a fool.
But he and the rest of them have been out-maneuvered and are tools for the people, organizations, and thought/behavior patterns that “took over the world” long ago, and that have been conning and controlling things for a long time.
Or the blatantly illogical yet accepted “wars” on “terror” and “drugs”?
“Cons” are involved, and those and others are akin to cons, but the most powerful cons are those that involve entrenched patterns of thought that get repeated and confirmed until entire cultures think of them as reality, and repeat them in truisms such as “that’s politics”, “that’s life”, “that’s human nature”, etc.
Because ruling the world isn’t what its cracked up to be.
They have tried, they succeeded, and they are still on top.
It started many thousands of years ago, and they have such an easy time doing it, even an Orangutan can do it.
Politics is politics, always not trustworthy to begin with. What i care more is regular con artists.
The best cons (the smartest) know that you can’t push the boundaries too far.
Because most con artists are just trying to make a quick buck, nothing more.
And how do you know they haven’t?
Because there is sites like this that answers people like me.

And what exactly does that accomplish?
This is just part of the contemporary opium for the masses.

And who says con artists are so smart? Certainly not the ones that get caught.
Maybe they were involved in something bigger than them.
Having less empathy and a drive to cheat others doesn’t necessarily mean they are above average in intelligence.
In case you haven’t noticed, they already have.
It’s the perfectly legal cons that fleece us all.
That’s what we call the federal reserve/modern politics.
Take care.
