How can we, as the human race, come together and make this world a better place?
Feels like the world keeps getting colder and colder. What are daily things we can do to make the world a better place?

Sometimes I feel that there is nothing we can do and then someone lets me in when my lane runs out or smiles a genuine smile when I buy a coffee and thank them. All I did was smile and say thank you because I appreciated what they had done, did no one else do that for them today?
Sometimes I think that life is made up of the little moments and if we concentrate on them, try to make the most of them, instead of trying to absorb the “big picture” we and those we interact with will be happier. And, who knows, maybe in the long run all the little moments will make the big picture a better one.
They way the world is going I would say nothing, but after reading @rojo answer I think there may be hope for us after all.
You can not.
There will always be those with power and the perceived right to rule over others, and there will be those who will fight to the death to not have someone else, even if it is the whole world, try to tell them how to live.
Strife and conflict are the natural state of the world.
@rojo. I love your words.
Every day, we have so many random encounters with strangers – on the sidewalk, in traffic, while standing in a checkout line, etc., etc. We get just one chance to treat each of those people decently. The experience doesn’t need to be intrusive, just courteous and respectful.
You have to simply life your life as if it’s already the case.
I have had my own body let me down in a variety of ways over the years.
Sometimes tools fail.
Sometimes plans fail.
Sometimes human lives/mentalities fail.
As I have had to face medications and treatments, and come to accept that any treatment can be only partially helpful, we as a race, will have to face the knowledge that there are damaged humans out there who will be dealt with as best we can as they pop up.
Be good to each other, at every possible opportunity, and hope for the best.
Reduce the human population by a factor of 14:1.
Teach the youth the right way.
I am trying to remember the exact saying but it goes “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” Something like that.
If you ever look at the history of the world, we have always had major upheavals. I beleive we are just in the start of one. Someone always wants to be on top which means someone will always be on the bottom. It’s human nature.
Nothing we can do about other people but plenty we can do about our own lives to make it better and to make it better for those around us. Educate is about all we can do and we need empathy more than ever and inner strength to help those weaker than ourselves.
I agree with @rojo . I’ve always believed that if a person would concentrate on the little things we each can do to make things better than through our actions we infect someone else with good will and it carries on. If you can reach 2 people and they could reach 2 people, then it will carry on and multiply. What was 2 is not 4 and then 8 and so on and so on.
It may seem like simple child like thinking but I think children show us exactly how we should aim to live.
As I have stated on another thread, the human race is still very primitive.
Most would like to believe differently. Most would say that invention and innovation prove we are advanced.
However, that is not so.
To improve our race, we must first recognize there are areas where we are deeply lacking.
Once we see ourselves for what we are, we can then work on improving our severely primitive aspects.
It is only recently that we even got very good at making tools.
When we did, we were so proud of that, we ran with it, like a toddler that just learned to use the potty. Well, how long is that toddler good at using the potty before they are any good at wiping themselves?
That is right, we suck at cleaning our own asses.
We are primitive, and behave with territorial anger.
We are primitive, and advance our tools and weapons beyond what we can clean up after.
We are primitive, and still believe increasing our population is a noble thing.
We reach for the stars when we can’t clean our own house.
We need to develope other aspects of our humanity. We need to educate our children in ways completely different from how our ancestors were educated.
We are no longer underpopulated. We should stop making it seem so important to add to the human race.
We need to learn to be better neighbors.
Until the human race takes an honest look at just how primitive we really are, we will continue leaving shit streaks wherever we sit ourselves.
How do we make the world a better place? We admit out loud we are infants, and then we work on growing up.
