I just tried to link the photo too, but it didn’t work. The pictures should be on the top of that page.

@anniereborn Your link says bad request. Edit I found two pictures. Thanks.

In this article, it says black people with down syndrome live only up to a year? Gosh who knew?

I have never thought of that @RedDeerGuy1. The only kids I see with Downs are Caucasian. They look distinctly Asian (anyone else remember when the people affected were called Mongoloids?) Maybe some how the gene reverts to that race? Maybe Blacks aren’t as prone to it because that race preceded the Asian race. Don’t get on to me about using the term “race.” You all know what I mean, and using the term was the easiest way to explain it.

I live in a very racially diverse area, with a huge population. I have seen adults and children of all races that most likely have Down Syndrome, although there are probably more around this area that are white/Caucasian, simply because of the percentages of each of the different ethnic backgrounds: higher percentage of whites, almost equal number of hispanic (in this area), then black, then Asian, then other.

I think this little cutie is most likely an Asian Baby

The little sweetie on the left looks to be part white, and part black

The little lady on the left is Non-white

The little fellow on the left appears to be Hispanic or Latino

I just had to put This Picture up because this little sweetheart is just so darn cute : )

The Global Down Syndrome Foundation has a lot of facts as well as several pics. Just scroll down the page…

@Kardamom I’ve found all Down children to be precious. They have a smile that will light up the room & they love with their entire heart with very little expectations of that love being returned. When it is, you have a friend for life!!!
