I’ve been a die hard fan of football my entire life, but now now the barbaric elements of the sport has finally disturbed me. Not sure what took so long for me to realize it. Your thoughts? Do you still watch football?

I couldn’t agree more, @rockfan. I once enjoyed a good football game, but I now wince and think about the damage done.
I never actually cared for it. Watching a game is time I’ll never get back.
I’m with @ARE_you_kidding_me . i just can’t do it. i don’t like the players; i don’t care for the game; and I can’t understand why people pay money to see it.
I used to put money in a football pool for the Superbowl to be sociable but other than that I have zero interest.
The video game graphics and commercials turn me off. I am freaked out when I watch, knowing that people enjoy it.
I don’t have a hard time watching football. It’s one of the few sports I can enjoy watching. But I almost never choose to watch a game, because it takes hours and I’ve seen enough football and don’t want to spend my time doing that.
I don’t have a problem watching football. I don’t watch. No problem!
Barbaric elements?
It’s just some guys in shorts kicking a ball around.
^I think the OP is referring to American football.
I love football. I played when I was younger, but tore my ACL and a couple other ligaments.
Each to his/her own…
I don’t like American football but I can watch football in the UK and appreciate the skill and the tactics in a good quality game. Football should be a non-contact sport.
I have a really hard time with the concussions and CTE. That needs to get fixed ASAP.
As for the game itself, I’ve just never been very into it. I’ll feign interest if I’m stuck watching it with others but that’s about it. I prefer the gameplay of soccer (other football) and basketball. I also played those two games recreationally as a kid, so that might have something to do with it.
I’ve never liked football or most other sports. Most of it is simply boring for me, and with some of them like boxing and football, it’s barbaric.
I like the more artsy sports of figure skating and gymnastics. Although for a time, Tonya Harding and her gang of thugs kind of made that sport pretty barbaric, but that was all off the ice, and an actual crime.
I think that any parent that puts their child in tackle football is child abuse.
How’s that for an answer?
