I would be pretty annoyed? I am a teenager. I am usually always walking around with music playing in my headphones.
I’m sure if kids wants to be annoying, it would take more than an annoying sound to stop them? Also, what if not every teenager in the area is being annoying?

In the question you mentioned, a user says that people sometimes pass out because of high frequency sounds. People may have health issues, and those high pitches sounds could trigger something, I don’t know.

Seems stupid and just pointless

Back in the stone age, when I was a kid, I could hear the high pitched whine the TV made. It was 15.75kHz. My parents thought I was making it up but it was real.

I watched TV anyway.

@LuckyGuy I was bothered by electronic sounds too. No one believed me either. Got in trouble unplugging every thing at night.

@RedDeerGuy1 There really was a noise bordering on the ultrasonic. It corresponds to the scan rate of the TV and the crude flyback transformers they used at the time.
I was also able to hear a noise from some of the ultrasonic traffic sensors used before inductive loop sensors began being buried in the asphalt.

Thanks for unplugging. You saved some energy.
