Can being anemic make a person feel cold all the time?

Yes. I have anemia and I shiver almost every day

But it could also be a thyroid problem. Have you had your thyroid checked recently?

Yes, my thyroid levels are fine.

Assuming you mean iron anemic—yes.

If your iron is low, wait until you get it up into normal ranges and see how much better you feel! It’s one of those supplements that you can really feel a difference. You’ll most likely feel warmer, stronger, less tired, and I believe I get sick less. Plus, if your tongue has been hurting it will clear up once you get your iron number up.

I recommend SlowFe over the counter. Check with your doctor. Best on an empty stomach or with orange juice. Absorbing acid helps absorb iron. Some people feel queasy if they don’t eat with iron supplements, but many people, including myself, have no problem with SlowFe. I take two at a time, but dosage you should check with your doctor.
