It can be either, but as with all things, too much of one thing tends to cause problems.
It’s bad to never think about the future (you have to plan ahead to some extent) and it’s bad to agonize and fixate on the future. As with most things, the only good option is moderation. I’m working on trying to become more grounded in the present.
This is another one of those questions with undefined parameters. Of course, it goes without saying that “too much” is by defintion bad. The problem lies in determining exactly what qualifies as “too much.”
Planning for the future is good. Dwelling on the future is not.
It is good to think about it and plan a bit. That way you have a better chance of getting to where you want to be.
You and your plan also need to be flexible. Other factors and influences will come up that were not incorporated into your plan. Work with them.
All we can do is remember the past, plan for the future and enjoy the present.

It’s good to think about the future and what it will become, realistically, and what one can do about their part in it. I did good. I have no children!
I don’t have all that far to look.
I’m trying to focus on the past 24 hours, now, and the next 24 hours. Anything else makes me anxious.
