Are log cabins and rustic wood interiors too masculine?

The woman is usually the home maker but I (the man) like houses to have a pioneer rustic quality—especially if somewhat in the woods. We both like old fashioned things and being close to nature. Can a log house with lots of wood—including routed, beaded and wood paneled interiors, appeal to feminine décor / tastes?

I would love a home like this. It’s not too masculine for me.
It isn’t a matter of masculine vs feminine, it is a matter of old aesthetic vs more modern.
Wood paneled rooms are nice, but they are also dark and not very warm. A more modern decor adds light (windows) and a white interior.
Wood lover here, but real only, please.
I would rather be surrounded by wood grain than floral prints and pastel colors any day of any year. I’d rather look at good, honest brown than insipid, noncommittal beige, and at just about anything (even pink) rather than taupe. To me, wood paneling is warmer than paint of any color, and nothing is colder than white.
Sure.
I love a rustic decor, I just don’t like it to be extremely dark. It’s a conflict for me, because typically I really like a dark stain, but when it’s on all the walls it can be too much.
I have stayed a few times at a log home B&B, and it was a fairly light color, and very open and airy.
Look at Houzz.com or use the app, and put in the search “rustic” or “log cabin” and see all the wonderful ideas.
Oh yes. I love log homes/cabins. Just do not put any dead animal heads on the walls, or dead animal skins anywhere. That is horrifying to me.
But I love bent willow furniture, and wood burning stoves and exposed beams and stone fireplaces and all that stuff.
This site “Yellow Stone Homes”:https://www.yellowstoneloghomes.com/interiors has some beautiful interiors.
Log homes are great, but they don’t appeal to every taste. I have lived in two. If the interior walls are made of log, keep in mind you will have some serious dusting to do. They will attract both dust and cobwebs in abundance. To clean them you won’t be able to just use a rag, but you will need to use a vacuum cleaner hose with a brush on the end, and go over each section of exposed log.
As far as being too masculine that’s just silly. Log homes have nothing to do with masculine or feminine.
They appeal very much to me. I don’t think it is gender specific.
It’s a personal aesthetic thing.
The terms “masculine” and “feminine” when applied to decor are pretty constraining. I’m a cisgendered female that is completely comfortable with the fact that I am female, but an overabundance of lace and pink in any room would churn my stomach.
Can rustic things appeal to the feminine? Just ask Pinterest, which has approximately 6618496435468413849681321 examples of decor made with rusty metal, pallet wood, and burlap sacks.
LOL. too masculine, Jesus. As long as you don’t drive nails into the wall to hang your coat, a rustic interior to a cabin in the woods is perfectly appropriate and in sync with the immediate environment.
Flowing, heavily patterned floor to ceiling drapes backed by chiffon with matching throw pillows and upholstery would not be consistent with the exterior environment.
@Espiritus_Corvus The beauty about driving nails into a log wall is that once you remove the nail, the hole just sort of disappears. There’s no need to get out drywall patch, then sand and paint. And actually the nails aren’t all that noticeable even if you leave do them there!
@snowberry LOL. I didn’t know that, and it is good to know. But my point was that a rustic interior would be a much more apt motif than a full-blown Laura Ashley interior.
