Does the Android or Google "personal assistant" have a name?

Apple has Siri. Amazon has Alexa. Windows has Cortana.
Surely Android has one, right?
Are there others? Are the names the same in other countries?
Can names be changed?

No. It’s boring. It’s just called Google Assistant.
The home device is called Google Home.
I get notices that the Echo can change names to a few choices in case there is a similar sounding name already in house.
You can also change the call to “Computer” in honor of Star Trek.
On my Google Home, I just say “OK Google” or “Hi Google” to wake it up. It doesn’t have the ego-stroking needs that Alexa or Siri or Cortana do. Google Home just answers.
And it probably doesn’t feel the need to comment on every Lexus add on TV.
So you don’t have to say a name before waking Google Home up? You just ask a question or say a command with no prefix?
Shouldn’t there be a somewhat complicated name so there are no misfires?
“Hey Oglethorpe! Order a pizza!”
You have to say “Hey Google” or “Hi Google.”
Google is such a common word now. I wonder how many “misfires” they get per day.
Thanks for the tip! I see Bixby for Samsung Galaxy S8.
Let’s not forget Janet in The Good Place.
It seems it is called “Google ” or “Google Assistant” and I don’t think you can change that in settings. There is a video on YouTube that explains how it works.
@LuckyGuy Yes, you have to wake it up. I have to say, “OK, Google,” and then I ask a question. You cannot simply ask a question without waking it up.
