How many lands in Monopoly are based in real life?

Last year I just realized that Monopoly Pennsylvania avenue is the White House. What are some other secrets?

There have been lots of local variations since, but the 1930s property names are Atlantic City, New Jersey streets.

No white houses in Monopoly, only green ones.

Monopoly is, indeed, based on Atlantic City locations. The game pieces have changed, but the board and the rules have stayed the same since the 1930’s.

The Pennsylvania Avenue is in Atlantic City, as are all the other locations. Looking at Atlantic City today, it may be hard to believe that it was once a resort city with valuable real estate.

Actually, Monopoly is associated with the White House, in a second hand way.
Our current president built in Atlantic City. That was some time ago.

By the way, if Monopoly kept up with the changing dynamics of Atlantic City, you’d see a Trump casino somewhere.
