Is there a direct line from the power brokers of the late 19th century to those who now seek to control the government?

There are certain names that pop up when you look to see who is providing the money to members of our government; Koch, Bloomburg, Steyer, Adelson, Hunt, Marcus, Day, Bush, Mercer, Wilks, Perelman and many others. Are most of these “old money” or are they up and coming families that have acquired their wealth in the latter half of the 20th century and into the 21st.?
