What do you call the kind of attire the male reporters and anchors on TV wear?

No one talks about the way they are dressed invites bad behaviour So what is the word? Is it formal?

Suits.

It’s business attire, or “business professional”. (as opposed to “business casual”)

“Formal” is another step up, when you break out the fancies.

Waist up suit and tie. Nobody cares about what they got on below the visible level of desk.

I think they’re too gussied up. A sports shirt would make them much more human and much less like Ken dolls.

@elbanditoroso I don’t know if they are gussied up, they’re just regular to me. I don’t picture Ken dolls in suits, it’s a rare to me. Maybe it’s because I don’t follow it.
